DHI test
Dropping Hammer Impact test
A weight of 10 kg is dropped through a guiderail, that regulates the path of the fall to a vertical position, onto a horizontaly fastened windowsill (The windowsill forms and angle of 90° with the guiderail.).
We drop the weight in the count of ten repetitions onto various surface positions of the windowsill from a given altitude. The result of the test is a mechanical damage ratio of the weight impact onto the windowsill.
The windowsill that fulfills the result ratio of => 1:9 (damaged : undamaged) passes the test. The evaluation of the test is given by the altitude of the dropped weight from where the windowsill passes a specified damage ratio (Tested: with the *DHI test for 1m!).
Note: The test is performed in room temparature ( 20°C±5 )
Class A REHAU windowsills are an ideal addition to any window system. They are made in such a way, that they require minimal maintenance. They are ideal for newly-constructed buildings, but also for reconstructed older buildings. Massive character of the window sill ensures high shape stability of the window sill.
